It's been a very hectic week! I will be joining a spring craft show in April and I was really hoping to get a good start on some cards and projects this week.....yeah...I had good intentions so that counts for something right?! Classes, work, orchestra competition for one kid ( 2 out of 2 gold!!), this list goes on and on. So when I finally get a good chunk of time this evening, what happens? I get almost nothing accomplished. I was only able to get two cards made.
I started out with so many good intentions and great ideas and I just couldn't seem to get anything right. I had the crafters version of a writers block. Not fun. At all. So, I thought I would share a card with you all and see how crafty everyone else was this weekend.
This card uses a new wood grain embossing folder that was one of my recent purchases and some really cute wooden words. Sometimes we think that just because it's a card that it has to be all paper. These words add a great look without adding a lot of bulk or weight to it.

I love the look of distress inks and it's my go-to when I'm stuck or looking for new ideas. It's hard to mess up and there's so much you can do with it.
So two questions for you all this evening..
1. What "look" or technique or even design is your go to when you are hitting a creativity block?
2. What's the most unusual (non-craft related) item that you've used in a card?
Let me know...maybe you can help me out of this funk! Have a great night!
