Ok, so in retrospect, I guess I should have posted this on the fifth day. You know...the whole golden rings thing. Oh well, I'm declaring the seventh day the day of bling! What is Christmas without a little bit of gold, rhinestones and some bling? Exactly. I love me a little bit of bling around the holidays. It's probably the only time of year that I do.
This card is not hard at all and it has just enough bling to make pretty without being gaudy. It also has a lot of what is hot and trending this season...gold, white, black and a little bit of sparkle!

This is one of the very few times you will see me use a patterned paper. It was much simpler than trying to get those lines straight. I cheated. And I'm not sorry. I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out. This card is pretty self explanatory except for maybe the edges and the snowflake. To get the look of gold leafing around the edges, I ran my Versamark pad around the edges, ran it through a mound of gold embossing powder and heated just like normal heat embossing. The snowflake actually started out as a silver one. It's a small wooden, laser cut embellishment that had a silver overlay. So what does one do when an embellishment is the wrong color? You coat it in Versamark and heat it! This is a great technique to get brads to match your work, also!
