On this first day of the 12 Days of Christmas Cards I'm giving you this Ombre Snowflake card in non-traditional colors. This card uses purples and pinks but still makes you think of winter and Christmas. And of course it has snowflakes so what's not to love?!
To make this card you will need:
1. 3 inks in your choice from the same color family
2. Blending tool or sponge
3. Stamps of your choice including a sentiment
4. Vellum
5. Sequins matching your ink choices.
6. Embossing powder and heat gun
Start by blending your darkest shade at the bottom and gradually add your lighter colors, being sure to blend them together well. For the spots of color I simply added droplets of water and blotted the excess off. Of course, this only works with Distress Inks as they react to water.
Stamp your images and heat emboss, add sentiment. Finish by accenting with matching sequins!
Be sure to check back tomorrow for day 2 of my 12 Days of Christmas Cards and stay tuned for details on how to win a set of cards and matching tags. Keep Paperberry Lane at you fingertips by "Liking" me on Facebook!
