Another look that has been hot on Pinterest for a while, doesn't look like it's going away any time soon are banners! They are fun, versatile and so easy to make (or fake!). This card is great for using up scraps and comes together quickly. So, what are you waiting for? Get making those Valentine's!
Begin by making your base. Again, I used a 5" x 5" base because I like the size but you could resize this to fit your needs...and your envelopes! Using a white pen or marker, draw a solid line around the edge of your base. It totally doesn't have to be straight and actually looks better if you freehand it!
I suspended my jute with 2 button brads, but you can use anything you have; including simply gluing it in place. Just be sure to allow adequate time to dry.
Next, I cut out small rectangles and knotched the ends to give them a flag/banner look. These were then adhere somewhat over the jute with foam dimensional dots.
Lastly, a coordinating, larger rectangle was cut and then also shaped into a banner and matted with white cardstock and stamped with a small sentiment.
To complete the look (and of course, add some bling) I placed small rhinestones in the shape of a heart.
Voila! Done!
Don't forget to check back later for another great project!
