Hello, my name is Melissa and I'm addicted to watercolors. Yup! I just can't seem to get them out of my system. OK, well I haven't been trying too hard...or at all. I love them! I love the soft look they give my Valentine cards and I love how easy they are to use. You get a different look every time; even if you are using the same colors! No two will ever be alike.
I don't usually make cards for Valentine's Day but I just can't seem to get enough of them this year. I love having an excuse to use pinks and everything that sparkles and glitters. So, why not make Valentine's?
This cards was made using the same technique that can be found in my Subtly soft card, minus the vellum overlay and some extra bling! Same concept but changed just slightly. The only other thing I added to this card was the gold around the edges of the pink cardstock mat. I simply dug out my handy gold leafing pen ( that some of you may remember from last year's mini treat bags) and went around the edges, making sure my line was uniform all the way around.

I'm not normally too fond of anything gold and usually lean more towards something silver but who can hate this pink and gold combo? I just love it and I hope you all do too!
I stamped this my phrase with Versamark and heat embossed it in gold. This stamp is by Heidi Swapp and comes with a small stencil. Even better? I got them both on clearance, along with another stamp/stencil combo. One of the stencils is polka dot and I really wanna do something that with that for Valentines as well. I was thinking maybe using some gesso for texture? Hmmm...have to check back to see what my crazy mind comes up with!
Don't forget to spread the Facebook love to get my page up to 100 "Likes" so I can give away a set of five handmade cards!
